Hi, I’m Immy.
I support Young Carers at TTVS which is a job I absolutely love. I have worked with young carers and their families since 2022, and I consider myself so lucky to be part of an organisation who aligns with my own person values and morals so closely, not to mention having the pleasure of working with the most wonderful team!
I am in the middle of my counselling training to become a fully qualified Integrative Counsellor and this has informed much of my practise in supporting children and young people during some of the turbulent times that they sadly have to experience as young carers. Young carers are the voices that are largely forgotten when thinking about vulnerable children and families, and it is our aspiration as a charity to shout loudly for those who really do deserve to be heard and listened to.
Outside of work, my life revolves around my family, both human and those who are four legged! I adore everything about living in North Devon and as an outdoorsy family, we are often found on the beaches or local woods walking our dog Jessie, who is our very much loved black labrador. I also have a love for all things equine and still have my amazing pony, Tara who our family have owned for 25 years, and who is now approaching the grand old age of 40 which is rather spectacular! And who knows….maybe the little pony from North Devon will make it into the Guinness World Records book for oldest pony!
