On Friday 16th September, the team at TTVS got together at the beautiful Tapeley Park for our 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) and an evening to celebrate our amazing Volunteers. What an action packed day! The AGM was a great success with a brilliant turnout from our members and wonderful hosting from Shirley Law (Chair of Trustees).
Darran Hill (Chief Executive Officer) presented on the year that was for TTVS, some of the highs and lows we have faced together. Thankfully this year, there were more highs as we all started to move out of the pandemic. The Annual Accounts were formerly signed off and Shirley was re-elected (which we are very pleased about!).
Moving on from the formal proceedings of the AGM, the team spent an hour or 2 bonding/fighting over the TTVS Sports Day. Much fun was had if not a little bit of cheating 😊
The fabulous day culminated with a star-studded evening celebrating the amazing and selfless work of our Volunteers across the area. We say star studded as the stars of the show were the volunteers themselves and we had the Mayor of Bideford Jude Gubb giving out the awards. It’s been a long time since we have been able to get together due to the pandemic and during this time, our volunteers have worked more tirelessly than ever. This was our opportunity to say thank you and celebrate our unsung heroes.
