Community Placements

Community Placements

Our Community Placements project is designed to help those people wanting to return to employment increase their confidence, improve their self-esteem and update their skills. This is achieved by placing participants in a work placement within a supportive environment and additional support is providing by a project mentor.

People benefit greatly from participating in the project and have tangible work experience to add to their CVs;

•        Develop team working skills

•        Enhancing their CV’s with relevant “real” work experience

•        Build confidence and self-esteem, important for those with a long period of unemployment

•        Develop time keeping and increasing reliability

•        Increase motivation and self-worth by helping their local communities

•        Help with job applications

•        Obtaining work related references

The Project Benefits the our Community

Many groups struggle to find reliable help and puts a strain on the running of their activities. This project supports our local community groups by sourcing reliable helpers and can cut their costs;

•        A reliable source of help

•        Organisations can timetable more effectively

•        No costs to the placement organisation

•        Ongoing opportunity to take on more people in busy periods

•        People can continue with the group once their time on the project has finished

If you would like to try a work placement or are a community group looking for helpers please contact us on 01237 420130.
